China closed Tatopani and Rasuwagadhi crossings without informing Nepal

Since Wednesday, China has completely closed the Rasuwagadhi and Tatopani border crossings, which are connected to Nepal, without giving any notice.

Head of Tatopani Customs Office, Narad Gautam, informed Nepalkhabar that China has not allowed any goods to move since Wednesday.

He said, ‘The Chinese side has closed the border without giving any notice. The Nepali side has said that Corona is the main reason for staying at the border towards China.
Along with Tatopani, China has also closed the Rasuwagadhi border. China has been tightening the border to control Corona. The year when Corona started i.e. from the 14th of January 2076, the border crossing to Nepal was tightened.

Although it was partially opened later, the crossing has not been fully opened since then. The goods exported from Nepal have not been able to go completely since the start of covid.

Nepali businessmen have been demanding that the import and export of goods should be open.
